How do you date?

Saturday, April 20, 2024  •  9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Antioch Waltham, 17 Spruce St, Waltham

Dating is complicated. But there is hope! While the Bible doesn’t say anything about dating, it is full of principles that can guide us to pursue marriage or singleness in a healthy, God-honoring way. Join us for a hope-filled conversation to receive wisdom and counsel from men and women who have walked this road and learned from personal experience. We’ll talk about things like online dating, boundaries, singleness, and more, and you’ll have a chance to ask your own questions. We hope that you will leave this conversation feeling encouraged and equipped!

Take and Eat: The Generosity of God Through Food

4 Sundays, May 19 to June 9, 2024  •  12:00 - 1:00 PM
Antioch Waltham, 17 Spruce St, Waltham

God created food to be a source of community, culture, and connection - but it can also be a source of shame, fear, and disconnection for many of us. What does the Bible teach about food? Join us as we explore the rich symbolism of generosity, hospitality and redemption - from the garden of Eden to the marriage supper of the lamb!

~~~~~
Week 1 – May 19:
What is food, and why did God create it?
(Intro to the theology of food, from the garden of Eden to the marriage supper of the lamb)
Week 2 – May 26:
Where does our food come from?
(How is our food grown in 2024, and how does it get to our plates? How is this similar/different from Biblical times)
Week 3 – June 2:
How can our relationship with food go wrong?
(Eating disorders, other health considerations, supply chain and climate impacts)
Week 4 – June 9:
How can food become worship?
(Fasting, feasting, multiculturalism, the Lord's Supper)
~~~~~

Snacks will be provided the first 3 Sundays; the last Sunday (June 9) will be a potluck. Anyone can attend any given week. Fun activities for kids of all ages will be provided each week - families welcome! Open to all.
